Description
Swedish: Hösten 1944 löpte fyra fartyg ut från finska hamnar och styrde västerut. Ombord fanns inte bara kärngruppen inom finsk underrättelsetjänst utan också hundratals lådor med topphemligt material om den sovjetiska krigsmakten, samt teknisk utrustning för avancerad signalspaning. Avsikten var att söka en fristad i Sverige för fortsatt underrättelsetjänst. Flera av de personer som var indragna i operation Stella Polaris lever fortfarande. En av dem är Stig Axelsson, svensk förbindelsespecialist tidvis aktiv i Finland, i finsk uniform. Nu berättar han och andra om de märkliga turerna i den operation, som slutade med att de hemliga lådorna brändes på Löfsta sopstation i december 1960.

English: In Autumn of 1944 four ships departed from Finnish ports and headed west. On board was not just the core group of Finnish intelligence but also hundreds of boxes with top secret materials about the Soviet Armed Forces, as well as technical equipment for the advanced signals intelligence. The intention was to seek refuge in Sweden for the continued intelligence. Several of the people who were involved in Operation Stella Polaris is still alive. One of them is Stig Axelsson, Swedish communication specialist occasionally active in Finland, in the Finnish uniform. Now he tells us and others about the strange turns in the operation, which ended with the secret drawers burned at Löfsta garbage dump in December in 1960.
